Marianne taught music for a year in Madison, Wis., and for a year and a half in Plentywood where she met her 50-year partner, James. They were married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church July 7, 1954. They moved to Jim's family farm south of Plentywood, where they lived until the early 1990s.
