Parent Christopher Sigsworth, child of William Henry Sigsworth and Mary Scott, was born Jan.16, 1834 in STOR. He m.Isabella
McWilliams on June 09, 1858 in SYD, d/o Henry McWilliams and
Elisabeth (this marriage date provided by John does not
correspond with the one found in the Sigsworth Family Bible,
which is June 09, 1856, SYD). In 1851/61 Christopher was living
in LOUGH. Children born to Christopher and Isabella were: 1-Christopher James
Sigsworth, b.ASH; d.April 17,
1875, ASH, cause of death water on the brain: 2-Christopher Sigsworth, b.PETER, m.Alice M. Moore (d/o David A.
Moore and Elizabeth Harnett), both were living in LON at the time
of the marriage: 3-Maria Jane Sigsworth, b.1866 OSW, m.James H. Christo on May 07, 1887, at
PETER, witnesses were George and Maggie Couter of PETER, religion

Parent William Henry Sigsworth, child of William Henry Sigsworth and Mary Scott, was born July 17, 1841 in STOR, d.Jan.12, 1906 in
RICH of heart disease, and was buried CLC. According to the
Sigsworth Family Bible he m.first to Sally Whaley on Nov.09,
1859, in SYD. He m.second to Phoebe Jane Whaley on Mar.11, 1862, at the
Primitive Methodist Church in SYD, d/o Nathan Whaley and Ann
Jackson. Witness to the marriage were James Sigsworth and Eliza
Whaley (our ancestors). Phoebe Jane was b.Mar.06, 1840, in CAN,
d.April 15, 1924. She went to the state of Washington after the
death of her husband, to be near her children, and was buried
EVER on April 18, 1924. According to census information the
Whaley's were German origin. Children born to William and Phoebe

Parent James Albert Sigsworth, our direct line ancestor,
child of William Henry Sigsworth and Mary Scott, was born Nov.10, 1843 in STOR, d.Nov.28, 1918, at
the home of his daughter Mrs. Ole Lewis in RICH. He was buried at
CLLK. According to Sigsworth Family Bible records he m.first
Jenette Whaley on Sept.08, 1856, in SYD (this marriage is very
unlikely given that James was only 13 years of age at the time).
He m.second at the Primitive Methodist Church of SYD to Eliza Ann Whaley on
Mar.28, 1864 in SYD, d/o Nathan Whaley and Ann Jackson. Witnesses
to the event were Martin Whaley and Abe? E. Paquette. James and
his family were living at Clear Lake in 1888.
According to the State of
Wisconsin, Polk County Naturalization (Oct.1884), James was born
in Canada 1841, and entered the USA via Port of Huron on or about
Dec.1882, and was sworn on Oct.28,1884. In 1905, in the town of
Clayton, he was a 62 year old widower and farmer. Funny enough,
in 1910 he was said to have been 65, a widower of Irish descent
whose father was English and whose mother was Irish. Children
born to James and Eliza, born FRONT., were: 1-Lillie Sigsworth, according to State records, a young girl,
Lillie Sigsworth, d/o James of RICH, was committed to the
Minnesota State Training School on April 25, 1895, age 13.
Grounds for her confinement was `incorrigibility' and she was in
and out of the institution until 1901, when she was discharged
into the care of her father at RICH being 21 years of age: 2-William J. Sigsworth, b.abt. 1879, in 1900 he was l/w his

(according to the Sigsworth Family Bible records, Fanny was m.to
John Walley on June 18, 1871, at SYD). Their children, born

Parent George Lumson Sigsworth, child of William Henry Sigsworth and Mary Scott, was born Sept.16, 1858, PTWP, d.Jan.21, 1925, in
LOUGH. He m.first Matida Hogan in July 1881 KING. He
m.second Charlotte J. Adeline Macgown (she d.Jan.5, 1961) on
Mar.17, 1904, in VER. In 1871/81 he was living in LOUGH and
belonged to the Church of England. He was a farmer. Children of
