Will, Jackson Twp., Craw. Co., Ohio, WI-220, January
10, 1852, of David Shay - Executor was his son Donald Shay,
witnesses were George Sprow and Stephen Kelly --- wife Agnes to
have farm residence, stock, household goods and provisions during
her lifetime. The will provides for disposal of property and
bequests grandson, David Jackson Shay, son of son, David Shay, to
have residue of estate. Other bequests: daughter Eliza Shay
$50.00; daughter Barbary Butler $25.00; grandson David Shay
Warden, son of daughter Jane, $25.00; Stephen Decature Shay, son
of son John, $25.00; daughter Mary Ann Shay $25.00; James Madison
Warden, son of daughter Nancy, $10.00. If David J. Shay shall not
live to inherit his legacy is to go to his brother, John Waldo
Shay.
